He’s a player in more ways than one…
College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance.
Now he’s going to need to up his game…
After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild.
This is literally greatness on paper. It’s everything you want in a New Adult read. It’s sexy, funny, sweet, filled with amazing characters and of course drama all the way. Elle Kennedy is an excellent writer and she captures the different personalities with poise!
John Logan was amazing in the first book, the deal, and I knew that this would be an awesome read. Even though the people living in the house all play hockey, they are so vastly different. As much as I liked Garrett, Logan is more my kind of guy. He is so interesting, he’s background story is surprising and heartbreaking at the same time; it made it very clear why he is, the way he is. Grace, our sweet heroine is such an amazing character too. I loved her humor a lot, very funny, just like Hannah. Both pairs are inviting and entertaining to get to know, their stories are different, but you can’t help falling in love with both.
There are always high expectations when reading a sequel to a book that rocked your world, but there’s no need to worry, this will knock your socks off. Like in the first, the book contains sex – not too much, but enough to twist your panties, wishing you were in her place. So prepare to gag and annoy the people around you with your constant laughter. The third book will be about Dean; this is interesting, seeing, as his sister Summer De Laurentis, is the main character in the spinoff series Briar U, which was the first one I read. Excited to get to know him!
