This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.
She’s about to make a deal with the college bad boy…
Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she’s carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush’s attention, she’ll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice… even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.
…and it’s going to be oh so good.
All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he’s worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he’s all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.
This is one of the best books in the world. Seriously. It’s addictive, sexy as hell and totally my cup of tea. Hooked right from the start and entertained throughout the entirety of the day.
Hannah is our main character and she’s not like anyone you’ve ever met before in this genre. She’s mature, intelligent, and not some bimbo that sleeps around with a bunch of guys nor get’s drunk all the time. You get to know her on a very deep level and it’s freaking amazing, in a way, you don’t want the story to end. Could have easily read a couple of more books with just these characters in focus. Our other hero of the story is Garrett, you’re typical bad boy, that sleeps around with everyone and everything, thinking he is invincible, but as we get to know him, we discover a person that is worth getting to know. Their interaction between each other develops throughout the story and it’s amazing to see the small changes they go through every day, and how well they work on a personal level.
The book is as mentioned before sexy as hell, it’s not for children, but a little older than that. It should be labeled an erotic novel, somehow, it’s not though, which is a bit odd. If this were a movie, it would be 18+ in some countries. I didn’t mind so much though.
It’s also funny. Like funny. Hannah has a funny way of expressing herself and it comes to show in a scene, that I reread like a million times afterwards.
If you’ve not read this book, you’ve missed out on an amazing experience. This is the first standalone in a series of four, each book has different couples in focus, also there’s a series called Briar U, which is a sequel to this series: Off Campus. All worth reading too.
