This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.

Jeg er bøsse.
Homoseksuel.

Anika Eibe writes these amazing books about real life issues. This time around, it’s about being gay and yet again, she dives deep into the understanding of others and writes important stories, which we all should read.

Matthias is like the next door kid and very easily relatable. He has many thoughts that are important for the story and our understanding of a little gay boy that are afraid of being whom he is. The scenarios in this book aren’t unlikely or unreliable, the opposite actually – and Eibi illustrates that with fines.

Language wise it’s super easy to dive into, it has a nice flow of words and even though the language may become crude at certain points, it suits the story and is actually a part of why it seems so realistic. The author hasn’t tried to hide anything; everything is just there black on white, the naked truth.

It’s sad that it hasn’t been translated yet, since the series in general has a message, which is important.
