This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.
It’s been three years since the devastating accident . . . three years since Mia walked out of Adam’s life forever.
Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Juilliard’s rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia’s home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future – and each other.
Told from Adam’s point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.
I don’t know why I read this book when I detested the first book so much but I guess curiosity killed the cat. The point of view has shifted from Mia unto Adam and it didn’t change the feeling I was left with, disappointed to my core.
Sure Gayle Forman writes beautifully but I can’t help the fact that I thought both reads were waste of time.
Therefore, the story didn’t work for me, the plot seemed lacking and I didn’t like Adam in this book. It felt like a big cliché I’m sorry to all the fans out there, but that’s my honest to go opinion. Thinking about giving up on the author although, this is the third book by her that I dislike with a passion.
