This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.

Endda her til Ullerup.

The book is available in English as well as Danish!

It was exciting to read something different for a change. The author wrote a few scenes that was so easy to imagine and it was easy to achieve a mental picture of what was happening, which in some scenes, could have been avoided, seeing as it has an insane amount of blood and gore. He did an incredible job giving life to his story and it’s definitely not the last book from Kamp I’ll read.

It was a quick read and I was entertained for the most part. However, I would say that it isn’t your typical children’s book, if it were me who had to categorize it; I definitely wouldn’t place it in that category. The amount of gory detail is far too great for any kid to read in my opinion.

The book has all the classic elements. An introduction followed by the problem that the main character needs to solve and then finally the successful conclusion. Could have been a cool addition to have an unexpected ending and I was a bit disappointed with how it ended to be honest. Things happen in the book and it’s only at the ending you realize why you were given the information in the first place, so if you haven’t read the book it’s something you need to know before reading it, no information granted in the book is without reason. It will all come together nicely in the end.

I primarily used the book to start reading again, and it worked – so I’m glad I picked this up Sunday night and read it.

If by any chance you read the English version of the book just know that Denmark and the US has very different views upon swearing and the language might offend you!
