This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.
Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother.
And that his best friend has a crush on me.
And that I just moved in with them.
Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?
I suppose it doesn’t matter. Fitzy has made it clear he’s not interested in me, even though the sparks between us are liable to burn our house down. I’m not the kind of girl who chases after a man, though, and I’m not about to start. I’ve got my hands full dealing with a new school, a sleazy professor, and an uncertain future. So if my sexy brooding roomie wises up and realizes what he’s missing?
He knows where to find me.
This is my first work of Elle Kennedy. I had no prior knowledge of her other works before I started this. Frankly, I thought that this would be another shitty book of the year, so I hadn’t really researched the author before starting the first page. Now that I’ve finished it, I don’t feel that you need to read the others, since I had no issue understanding any of the characters or the flow of the story. Therefore, if you feel intimidated reading four books before this just go ahead and wrap yourself up in this sweet story. I’m not sure if these characters appear in the first series of hers, but you get to know the characters well in this book due to the authors skills of personifying her characters.
Summer is the opposite of me in every aspect. She’s outgoing, direct, social and extremely open. At first, I had some issues with her as she seemed to shallow, but as the story progressed, I liked her more and more and I ended up wishing I could be a little more like her in some ways. The way she handles problems is very mature, even though I at first, found her to be very immature.
Typically, I don’t like having multiple point of views, but for this story it works! One of the first times I’ve preferred it over the regular way of writing. They are so cute, and it was super nice knowing what they thought throughout the entire read.
I liked hunter too, he was special, and I hope I’ll get to hear more about him, as for Brenna I wasn’t a fan, and I’m not sure if I’ll read her story.
I must point out that the book contains lots of sex scenes and talk, and for some it may be too much.
