This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.
In So Deadly A Battle…
United at last with Diana, the mistress of her coven, Cassie must first sacrifice her love for Adam to save the Secret Circle and the town of New Salem from the evil powers of the witch Faye.
Threatened by the possibility of her destruction in a final battle between good and evil, Cassie must hope that her supernatural gifts are strong enough to obliterate the powers of evil.
If victorious, Cassie will win more than she ever dreamed. But if she and Diana fail, the Power will go to those who seek only to destroy.
…Can Anyone Triumph?
I couldn’t stand Cassie in this book either, she’s an utter moron and dumb most of the time, actually when I think about it, most of the characters possess these traits. The plot is very predictable from start to finish and the overall writing is mediocre at best. None of the characters was likeable in my opinion; they all had vague personalities and didn’t actually do anything for the story.
The dialog between the characters were dull and cheesy. The book lacked spirit and it felt heartless, the story was all around anticlimactic and every time it had a knack of potential, the moment was stolen by some terrible storytelling.
I’m not sure if it’s the worst series I’ve read but its close. It’s sad when the only positivity toward a book is the cover.
