This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.
The book is currently only available in Danish.
This book got the only thing I hate more than a bad book, and that’s chapter division. Kassie is the one with most chapters so it wasn’t a deal breaker for me.
It’s okay – not overwhelming with potential though. I didn’t like the main character one bit! She was shallow and difficult feeling any sympathy toward at all.
Language wise it’s easy to read, and would probably be an interesting read to anyone liking vampire stories. The author wrote a series containing nine books in total but I’m just going to stick with this one.
One thing that annoyed me a lot was the pace. It was so slow. Many of the chapters felt like a filler to me. With no evident purpose for the development of the plot. The time spend at the bar where Kassie works is lavish in comparison to the entirety of the book.
The plot is decent but predictable. The book ended with an open ending however, it’s still not enough for me to continue with the series, even though I really like first person narrators, Kassie isn’t a character I want to acquaint myself with more than necessary.
