This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.

Louisiana cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse has her hands full dealing with every sort of undead and paranormal creature imaginable. And after being betrayed by her longtime vampire love, Sookie must not only deal with a new man in her life—the shapeshifter Quinn—but also contend with the long-planned vampire summit.

The summit is a tense situation. The vampire queen of Louisiana is in a precarious position, her power base weakened by hurricane damage to New Orleans. And there are some vamps who would like to finish what nature started. Soon, Sookie must decide what side she’ll stand with. And her choice may mean the difference between survival and all-out catastrophe.

More fictional creatures? Seriously!

I’m not sure how to feel about this book to be honest. Sookie is still Sookie but with a twist. Her interest has developed towards her wardrobe and uses excessively time explaining us readers how she looks.

Fear not dear readers! The book series has absolutely nothing to do with the television one. Here and there, something happens that you remember from the show, and it’s cool to draw similarities but as for those two works, only names and places are a commonality the rest is so different from one another.

When it comes to Sookie, I’m torn in what to think. On one hand, I feel bad for her, because she has it tough. Her love life is one big mess. She has had to many love affairs to keep track of her feelings and it’s a given she’s confused and lastly she’s always in problems to her ears and it seems like she’s always there to fend for herself, constantly dealing with problems either related to her or the vampires.

However, I’m tired of Sookie, sure, she’s a great main character and she’s developing but not in direction that I care for. This book has a lot of action and drama in it, and luckily, it made me want to read it.

It had Eric in there, my god has he changed from the first time we met him. He is my favorite character of them all! We’ll see what the next one has to offer! This one had an open ending and frankly, it was a little annoying that we didn’t get some closure.
