This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.
In a way, I wish for all you future readers of this series that you didn’t have to go through the first book. Because this second book is much better than the first. By a milestone. Lulu our main character, is still dumb as a door but what can you do?
I like the change of scenery from Denmark to Italy it gave the story a little more class and its nice how boy crushes isn’t the center of attention.
Language wise it’s a big more grown up then the first one. Not as much swearing as before and the dialog doesn’t seem rushed, like before. Overall, this is a much better story, and the plot seem well thought off and interesting.
The parts of this book, which is supposed to scary, you a bit is well written! Even though Mads isn’t a big character in this book it still seem like he underwent a change. He became more mature during the time they were apart.
Many new characters are introduced and again, it makes the story seem a lot different from the first. This was interesting in a way I didn’t expect it to be. A few conversations Lulu had with her cousin was very educational and made me want to read more about the Plague. I applaud the author for making such a great paranormal themed book! Truly a great read!
