This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.
College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation. When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don’t show many signs of life, but they’ll have Claire’s back when the town’s deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood. Will she be able to face the town’s terror or will she drown like everyone else?
The book made me so mad at time I wanted to rip it apart. If I had the chance to teleport to Morganville, I’d literally kill them three girls harassing Claire. I feel so bad for her I nearly cried.
It brings out strong emotions this book!
It felt like an introduction of sorts. The series contain of fifteen books with lots of short stories here and there, nine of those are available in Danish.
Seeing as it takes place in the real world the story plot has endless possibilities lying ahead.
We get to meet some interesting characters and it’s difficult to figure out whom we can or can’t trust. It’s now how different all the people we meet, are. It seems like they all have a story to tell and I’m sure we will get to know them even better as the series progress.
Not one time did I get the urge to skip because it was interesting to read!
Claire is an awesome main character to follow! She’s odd, smart and very unlucky; she’s easy to relate to, because she isn’t perfect. She needs to struggle to achieve just a tiny bit of luck.
Read it if you like a cool vampire story with memorable characters and twists here and there you really don’t expect.
