This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.
Zoey Redbird’s adventures at vampyre finishing school take a wild and dangerous turn as loyalties are tested and shocking true intentions come to light, in this spellbinding fourth novel in the House of Night series.
Finally, Zoey is starting to become herself again after her difficulties in the previous books. She still has problems, that hasn’t changed and it doesn’t seem like there’ll be any change to that in the upcoming books. Frankly, it looks like it’s going to be hell on earth from now on.
It seems that whenever I got a problem with one character in one book then they are sweet in the next and someone else is a bitch. I’m not sure if it’s a pattern or a coincidence. To be honest if you haven’t read the first three books you’re going to be so confused and I wouldn’t recommend you reading this.
At times, these books are fantastic and exciting but then they lose the magic and become truly boring and this is no exception.
The main story in the first four books are finished and it’s interesting to see what happens in the next few books. Many unanswered questions are still hanging in the air waiting for answers. What are the group going to do now and how will they manage their new living situation. I hope that the next book will show some results.
One thing I must applaud is the continuation of the language use, characters and the way the books are build. Even though the characters change, it’s not as if they are unrecognizable it just shows how good the description is in the first place.
