This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.
Dark forces are at work at the House of Night and Zoey Redbird’s adventures at the school take a mysterious turn. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. Zoey finds herself in the very unexpected and rare situation of having three boyfriends. Mix a little bloodlust into the equation and the situation has the potential to spell social disaster. Just when it seems things couldn’t get any tougher, vampyres start turning up dead. Really dead. It looks like the People of Faith are tired of living side-by-side with vampyres. But, as Zoey and her friends so often find out, how things appear rarely affects the truth…
Zoey is the definition of split personality. It started in the second book but now she’s just confusing.
I miss the old Zoey before she got all man horny. At times, we get to see her as she used to be funny, happy and sympathetic.
Not only is she different but the book seem a little off as well. At times the book was so good it beat the first two by miles but at other times it was so boring I thought about quitting the series all together.
The overall story is still awesome and its cool how it continues to develop but at the same time keep the same plot, at the same time, it feels like there’s a story within the main story that focuses on something else which makes the story more exciting and less predictable.
All the characters are going though changes and its fun to see how they evolve.
The language is the same as in the other books. However, the feel is different. I hate the continued problems that revolves the little clique of friends. I’m actually mad about how Zoey is changing, and not for the better! To be honest I’m starting to dislike some of the other characters as well. All the lies and secrets it’s almost like a messed up game!
