This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.

The Selection began with thirty-five girls.
Now with the group narrowed down to the six Elite, the competition to win Prince Maxon’s heart is fiercer than ever—and America is still struggling to decide where her heart truly lies. Is it with Maxon, who could make her life a fairy tale? Or with her first love, Aspen?

America is desperate for more time. But the rest of the Elite know exactly what they want—and America’s chance to choose is about to slip away.

I hoped that this would be just as good as the first. In a way, it was and then it wasn’t. The story was amazing like the first book but the main character had changed. She started out the same way but changed midway, and not for the better in my opinion. It was a bit frustrating how the story literally started getting better but the characters involved didn’t.

The writing was the same; still as easy to read and just as interesting and describing as before. The ending is awesome though, and exactly how I hoped! Now I’m excited with reading the third book I’m sure it will be amazing as well.

I like the fact that you don’t know who you can trust. The author is excellent at twisting our heads up. You will have to read the entire book before you know whom you can trust. It has so much potential and drama I find it intriguing.

It’s difficult to decide which genre to categorize this as; it’s a Yong Adult fictional story with a futuristic look on our world. It’s realistic and it makes this a more interesting read to know that this could actually happen, who knows?

Have fun reading this second book is the series, I’m sure that you’ll love it just as much as the first if not more, so happy reading!
