De 7 Synder
Title: De 7 Synder
Author: Katja L. Berger
Finished Reading: July 2018
Genre: Young Adult & Fantasy
This is my personal review without spoilers of the actual plot.
Før DE 7 SYNDER herskede syv guder over verden.
First of I’d like to thank the author for giving me this book. I have to admit I’ve thought about buying this for some time but it seemed that things kept interception my purchase.
The only language this book is available in is Danish but who knows what might happen in the future?
I might add that I’m not a Lord of the Rings fan nor Rick Riordan inspired fantasy and frankly that’s all I got from this book. However, in my opinion you have to be talented to write something inspired from both those authors especially seeing as it was the author’s first book.
I loved some aspects of this book to death. The seven deadly sins – wow it was amazing. I wish your book would reach out to more people, because this is an inspiration to all us aspiring authors. In addition, I believe that this book would become popular around the globe.
The language in this book was a bit tricky – it’s not your common YA way of writing, and it took some getting used to but I truly think that the story benefitted from the language. The feel of the book wouldn’t have been the same if the main character had seemed different or spoken differently.
Don’t judge a book by its cover! I think that I subconsciously kept putting my purchase off due to its appearance. It’s very simplistic and little boring. Luckily, the pages tell a different story.
This is not the last time I read this. I’ll pick it up one day and if it’s not in progress of translation maybe, I’ll give it a shot. Kane’s story deserves to become a reading experience for anyone interested in an adventure that will transport you into a new world, leaving your old one behind for some time
